our diamonds

Every rough diamond we choose is a natural beauty. It was made by Mother Nature and we prefer to keep it that way. We don’t see imperfections, we see personality. Isn’t that what makes us who we are? Love it like it is.

For most, the word diamond brings to mind a clear, white polished gemstone. While tradition favors the white diamond, it is far from the only hue a diamond can take. In reality, natural diamonds occur in a mesmerizing spectrum of different colors, shapes, and sizes.

Raw diamonds are divided into over 12.000 different qualities, but only the top 20 % are judged good enough for jewellery. It is from these lots we handpick the stones we fall in love with. The diamonds we reject are sent back to be cut into regular diamonds.

The city of Antwerp in Belgium is the jewel in the crown of the world diamond business. It’s here the most glorious diamonds are watched over, admired, desired – and traded. It’s also the place where we find our little pieces of eternity.

All jewellery comes with an individual certificate for your piece.

RESPONSIBLY SOURCED ROUGH DIAMONDS

Transparent. Traceable. Treasured.

At Rough Diamonds, we believe you should be able to love diamonds with a clear conscience. That’s why every rough diamond we work with is responsibly sourced — with full traceability, fair labor practices, and minimal environmental impact.

The diamond industry has long faced challenges around conflict financing, labor conditions, and transparency. We take these issues seriously and go beyond standard certifications to ensure our stones are as honest as they are beautiful.

You may have heard the term “blood diamonds,” also known as conflict diamonds. These are rough diamonds used to finance wars against governments. In response, the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme was created through a United Nations resolution in 2003 to help eliminate “blood diamonds” stones from the global supply chain.

All our diamonds comply with the Kimberley Process, which brings together governments, civil society, and the diamond industry to certify shipments of rough diamonds as responsibly sourced. But while the Kimberley Process has made important progress, it is not enough. It does not address broader issues like human rights, fair labour, or environmental impact — and it certifies batches, not individual stones — making it difficult to trace exactly where a diamond comes from.

That’s why we go beyond the Kimberley Process. Our supplier is a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council — the leading authority on ethical, social, and environmental standards in the global jewellery industry. This guarantees that every diamond we use is responsibly sourced, with care for people and the planet.

Each stone is uncut and unpolished — a raw expression of nature, craftsmanship, and conscious luxury.

“We have always loved diamonds. That love drives us to do better — to make sure every piece we create can be loved without question.”
